Match Report
The Crusaders turned around a shaky first half to finish strongly and win comfortably.
Paul grabbed a couple of early goals, one direct from a corner but Atherton struck back capitalising on some individual errors to lead 3-2 at the break.
The second half began evenly but once Mat Withers had equalised with a stunning volley the momentum shifted significantly. Paul completed his hat-trick and then Cameron was presented with a tap-in by Sam. Nathan made a brilliant double save and then Ash completed the scoring with a characteristic drive over the keeper and under the bar.
Paul was the obvious choice for man-of-the match with his 3 goals but there were good performances all round none more so than Nathan who didn't let a couple of errors affect his confidence. Chris showed good leadership, Mat Withers effective in the number 10 role and Seth was calm and assured in possession. Final score Crusaders 6-3 Atherton Town.
